Jupiter and Mars This Morning, July 23, 2013

Bright Jupiter and Mars shine during twilight this morning at 4:40 a.m. CDT as seen from the Chicago area. (Click the image to see it larger.)  Both planets are emerging from recent solar conjunctions shining during early morning twilight.  Jupiter is nearly 25 times brighter than Mars as they are about 1 degree apart this morning.
